Windows cannot find RECYCLER virus and worm

I have this error message whenever I try to open folders on my computer. It says “Windows cannot find .\recycler\recycler\autorun.exe” . This problem have already spread on our entire computer networks, desktop and laptops, even on USB drives. The worm spreads so fast that it has infected all machined in just an hour. Please help me remove this thing. Thanks

Try Flash Disinfector, it is proven to remove autorun worms.

I pride myself in virus and spyware removal abilities to some degree and this damn thing stumped me. The error was comign from a partition on a secondary drive and not a USB drive so it works on those situations also.

From standard AV to rootkit scans to Autorun Eater to Unlocker I was failing all over.

One thing I didnt’ try was a CMD removal process which may have worked since I knew which file it was.

Anyway this worked like a charm and I am very grateful.

*stands and applauds* Webmaster, THANKS A LOT. Don’t know what it did, but it got rid of the virus.

I had to format my PC to fix everything and my 320gb external drive had the problem also. Would of killed me if I lost what’s on it.

Much appreciated. Highly recommended for a quick, easy and extremely cheap fix. =D

I also tried Flash_Disinfector.exe and worked like a charm…not sure why this happened but i glad someone knew how to fix it…

I found Flash Disinfector some weeks back and used it to ‘neutralise’ all my drives. What a life saver it has been! However, my Avira anti-virus keeps telling me that it contains a recognition pattern of WORM/Generic.4084. Does anyone know if this is anything to worry about?

This little prog did wonders with this recycler problem I had. The prog is flash disinfector it is the bomb.. first time I used it no recycler prob.

before you state you run antivirus, this is not a virus.

the flash disenfector worked and allowed to open C and J drives.however this did not fix the browser hijack and it is still keeping nortons and malwarbytes from opening

this really works! and if anyone is wondering about the autorun.inf folder left on the drives i found this at bleepingcomputer.com

“Note: Flash_Disinfector will create a hidden file named autorun.inf in each partition and every USB drive plugged in when you ran it. Don’t delete this folder. It will help protect your drives from future infection.”

please i have been seeing recyclebin with $ like this on my drives and i have try delecting it but to no avail and i have not been able to browse for sometime now because my nic can’t connect to any network,i try ping my loopback but the result is general failure.someone shud pls pls help me out or shud i format the system?
