pop-up virus

Each time I open my computer, I keep getting a pop-up from It prompts for software update. In particular, it tells me to download an update for medial player. When my brother takes a look at my computer, he said, is a virus/malware.

Immediately, I run a virus scan on the computer. AVG did not find any threats. Superantispyware identified a couple of registry values that were taken care of. That process didn’t help in removing the pop-up. It still appears during boot-up of Windows. Here are the messages that pop-ups on the desktop.

How come that the malware have bypass my antivirus program? It has the most recent update and I am sure it is working by the time pop-up first appeared. What should I do or program that I need to run to be able to get rid of Logonwinner malware? Need your advice.

Thanks in advance,
