“is this your pic?” Facebook virus

Hello guys, I am new here and this will be my first post on this board. Presently I am experiencing a lot of messages in my Facebook account. Most probably, I am receiving different versions every second, and it contains messages like the following:

Is this really your pic?
Is this your photo?
Could this be your picture?
This isn’t your picture right?

Included in the message is a link that probably points to a malware. I never click any of those links, as I am aware of the danger. However, “is this your pic?” virus is repeatedly upsets me.

This virus is very irritating and I want it out of my computer immediately. Please tell me what to do.

Do not click on the links. As per your post, it seems that your PC is still clean. The reason why you are receiving “is this your picture” is that sender’s computer is infected. Attacker is using the compromised Facebook account to send harmful links.

There is nothing you can do to stop receiving this message unless you adjust Facebook’s security settings. You might also want to notify the sender about this virus. Doing so will prevent the virus from spreading. Also, a good anti-malware program can protect your PC from this threat. It is not free though.
