Security System has detected spyware infection!

I have an alert coming from Windows Task-bar saying:

“Security System has detected spyware infection! Spyware may compromise your privacy or damage your computer. It is recommended to install antyspyware tools now to prevent data loss and private information exposure”

I just learned that the program Security System is a bogus one and will just pretend to be a legitimate antivirus. What should I do? How can I stop the message “Security System has detected spyware infection!”

It is a part of System Security fake program. Just download, install and update Malwarebytes Antimalware and scan your computer.

Had the same problem today….Download free version of Malwarebytes anti-malware (just google “malwarebytes”), run it. It will detected the nasties that are causing this irritation, zap the bits it can, then you’ll need to restart to finish the clean.

I had that problem once, so I downloaded Malwarebytes, ran the scan, rebooted the computer, and the problem went away! Thanks for the advice!

I have the same problem as Amisola. I downloaded malwarebytes because of this stupid antivirus 360 that got on my computer somehow. But now when I try to run the scan it just completely goes off. I click on it again and it just keeps disappearing. What do I do?

just stomped this one out at work…

    here’s a link to instructions

for the record I went the manual route (stopped the process, deleted the registry key, plus the files it stored in documents and settings all users application data…)

    best of luck

    regards

*edit* tried to run malwarebytes but the install would not run *shrug*
