How to remove CheapMe adware

Please help me solve the issue about Ho adware. I accidentally downloaded this one together with some adware on my computer. Now it is affecting my Google Chrome. I noticed that when I am surfing the web, some words on the pages are highlighted. When clicked, it will open a new window showing various ads and banners.

There are several add-ons I found on my browser which I am not the one responsible installing them. I manage to delete them all including CheapMe. Hence, after the computer restarts, CheapMe will be present once more. It seems that add-on removal within the browser is not enough to completely delete this adware.

Looking at the Add/Remove program of Windows, I also noticed some unusual things. So, I uninstalled every suspicious programs and CheapMe is one of them. On this area, CheapMe never goes back again after several Windows restarts. It is now only affecting the browser in which I have no idea how it manages to reinstall itself. Please help me get rid of CheapMe totally from my PC.

Hi, my computer is also a victim of this CheapMe extension. I am sharing this procedure to help others get rid of the adware. It may also work to resolve your browser problems also.

    1. Open Google Chrome.
    2. Go to ‘Customize and control Google Chrome’ (three bar icon) and click on Tools > Extension.
    3. Once you are on the ‘Extension’ window, click or check the Developer Mode located at the top-right corner.
    4. Restart Google Chrome and you will now see where CheapMe files and folders are located. Delete the files and folders.
