How to know if you are infected with Doomsday – DNS changer virus

Hi, Doomsday or DNS changer have been the most talk about topic lately. They said that this virus exist all the while on computers and routers globally without victims knowledge. Here is one excerpt from an article.

“Google, Facebook and the FBI have all issued repeated alerts over the past year about the estimated 650,000 computers worldwide that fell victim to the DNSChanger trojan, but they and media outlets made one last public appeal this week warning of the looming July 9 deadline.”

So, if ever I want to know if I belong to those that were infected by Doomsday, what should I do to verify the infection?

If ever I am certain that my computer is infected, what should I do to remove the virus?

Authorities have warned Internet users about the shutdown of malicious DNS server few months ago. This notice includes a link to test sites so that people may check if Doomsdays is present on their computer and network. You can view this link to see if your system is compromised.

Once you visited the site, it will instantly check your system to clarify if it is infected with Doomsday/DNS Changer virus. If it shows a Green DNS Resolution, then your PC is clean and no need to worry about the shutdown. Otherwise, if it reveals a Red sign, you are in trouble.

Losing an Internet connection on July 9, 2012 is a clear indication that you are affected by the malicious DNS shutdown. Therefore, you must seek help of a computer technician to resolve the issue.
