“Failed to create Conexant Audio Factory” pop-up virus

I noticed sluggish performance of my computer lately and it has been acting so strange lately. So, I decided to bring it to a technician. Unfortunately, the repair man told me that computer is free from virus and the message “Failed to create Conexant Audio Factory, Smartaudio will now exit” is just part of a damage files. The technician did some configuration and the pop-up stops so I was happy to bring the computer home.

When I arrived home and turned on the computer, I was amazed to see  “Failed to create Conexant Audio Factory, Smartaudio will now exit” pop-up message again. I really suspect that there is a virus on this PC. Another abnormality I’ve found is the Internet speed. It has gone very slowly, in fact it looks like that it was downloading something from an unknown location. Programs that are present on the computer are also having issues with this virus. Each time I open any software, I am getting the pop-up  “Failed to create Conexant Audio Factory, Smartaudio will now exit.”

I have Norton Antivirus on the system, but I’m afraid that the virus has turned it off. Icon seems to be inactive and I couldn’t find a way to launch it. Please help me.

Thanks
Bill

Hi, my computer is also facing the same dilemma. It is acting strange lately and I don’t know what to do. I consulted a friend which is a computer technician and he deduced that this is some kind of virus infection.

It first started when I open the computer and a pop-up shows up saying that “Failed to create Conexant Audio Factory, Smartaudio will now exit.” My Internet connection is so slow and taskbar shows that wi-fi is loading or connecting. All programs I tried to open also loads so slow and sometime they just crashes and was not able to run. My antivirus protection seems to stop working and when I click on the icon, it never opens. I believe that all of these just rooted to the problem “Failed to create Conexant Audio Factory, Smartaudio will now exit.”

I have done several virus scans on the computer and removed dozens of threats but the pop-up won’t go away. Please give me some workable solution to fix this trouble.
    Thanks.
